My Trip To Australia

My trip to Cairns, Australia was really interesting. The shops are huge; I can tell you some shops like Myer BI- LO Coles and more. The planes are incredible and the plane’s name is QANTAS. The biggest mall that I’ve seen is Cairns Central. The hotel that I stayed in is called Cairns Queenslander. But that hotel is not very big, it was fascinating though. They have 7 news, 1cartoon and 2 sport channels. They also have 4 or 5 computers in the internet room. We always needed a map to go to town. There were a lot of accidents when we were in Cairns. We mostly got the baby stuff for my new baby bro. We did our last minute shopping before coming back to PNG. Goodbye Cairns!

Tufi Holiday

Tufi is probably the most beautiful place in the world. I went there with my Mum and Dad.

When I first went I thought what a jungle am I in. I didn’t know the truth so the next day we went to a village. It was good. I was amazed how they made sagu but after that we went to the water fall.
It was brilliant. It was as they show in movies. The beach was fabulous. I could see my legs through the water. That’s my experience at Tufi.

When I arrived in PNG

The first thing when I arrived at Papua New Guinea I wore a giant necklace made with flowers. When we reached the holiday inn the first thing I did was I went to the basket ball court and started to play basket ball. The next day I had to go to school and I was surprised - such an amazing school. The amazing thing was that there was a big library, 5 playgrounds and a small library in the class.

Christmas Trip to Thailand

Last Christmas I went to Thailand for my school holidays. I really enjoyed that trip because we went to a water park. I went on this massive slide; we also saw one of the world’s biggest wave pools. After some other rides we went to get some ice cream after the ice cream we had to go home I got changed and watched TV till dinner time. When we finished dinner we went back to our room and watched a tennis match after the tennis match we went to sleep. In the morning we went to get some breakfast and saw a bunch of pigeons. There was a crow that was eating the leftovers of someone else’s breakfast.

School Excursions

Living in PNG

In our school we go for excursions. This year the grade threes and fours went to Loloata Island. I went with my class in term 1. I had a marvelous time there. We only stayed there for one night but I really enjoyed it. One of my favorite things is that we had a treasure hunt. It was lots of fun. We also went to Lion Island. We had to go in groups because we were so many. I was too scared to go swimming in the sea so I started drawing on the sand. After a while I felt more confident so I went in holding a teachers hand.

Games we play at Recess and Lunch

At my school we play lots of different games. At recess the girls play hand-ball, hide and seek or pole to pole. Hand-ball is played by bouncing a ball to someone else. Hide & seek is played by one person counting to any number. While they do that the other players go & hide. This is how you play pole to pole. There are two poles two people stand near a pole & swap. When they swap the person with no pole runs to a pole. At lunch most people play soccer. Soccer is my fave game because you get to run around & play with your friends.

My Trip to America

My trip to America was great we went to a lot of places like Disney land. We went on awesome crazy rides like the twilight zone, splash mountain, the mummy and the Simpsons ride. We went to a place called California adventure it was cool but not cooler then Disney land.

After Disney land and California adventure we drove to San Diego . We went to Lego land in San Diego. Lego land was really cool these were my fave rides in Lego land: the dragon, autopia and the knights tournament.

After America we went back to PNG. The feeling was so nice. If we didn’t live in PNG we wouldn’t have the opportunity to go to America, so thanks PNG.

Fisherman's Island

Fishermans Island is a well-known island to all people who live in Port Moresby. The island is 20 minute standard boat ride to get there. Fishermans Island is very tropical. Fishermans Island is home to some of PNG’s most beautiful shells, I go down there a lot and collect lots of shells. I have one big, white shell that I love in my room.

Some local Papua New Guinean people even live on Fishermans Island.

The Royal Papua New Guinea Yacht Club have their annual Christmas party on Fishermans Island every year where all members and families are invited to enjoy the soft sand and warm waters.

Friday Night at the Yacht Club

On Friday nights, most people in 4T go the Yacht Club. The Yacht Club is a popular restaurant attraction in Port Moresby, PNG. The Yacht Club has a bar for adults, a mini bar downstairs for kids that sells drinks, chips and food such as fish/chicken and hot chips, a playground for any age group, a gymnasium, a soccer field and most importantly, a wharf with lots of fingers to walk on to get to the boats, jet-skis, yachts. Some of these boats are home to residents of Papua New Guinea (and members of the Yacht Club).

Kids and their parents go to the Yacht Club to catch up with their friends and watch the rugby.

Everyone loves ‘Friday Night At The Yachtie’!

My Snow Trip

On the term two holidays Dad, Mum and I went to Australia. My cousin was there as well, in Melbourne, from Perth. I didn’t really get to see her but we decided to go to Lake Mountain with my friend called Josh and my auntie and grandpa. When we got there it was full of snow! We got out of the car then we put our gear on. When we were waiting for the others Josh and I threw snowballs at each other then Anna joined in. First we went to the toilet then we got some toboggans but we couldn’t get them until grandad showed his license so we went out side for a bit.

We didn’t have toboggans so we slid down the hill on our stomach. Finally grandpa came with the toboggans then we slid down hill. When I went down I hit a kid then he tripped and fell and I caught him. We found a really bumpy hill. The bumps made you go up one meter high! and they really hurt The way back up was so slippery other people had to help you. Then we went home on the way back we had hot chocolate and meat pies it was so good.
